Title: Cambodian education: Towards modernity

Abstract: The summary report, in particularly, focuses on trends explaining current educational policies and conclusions on the understanding of culture with the emphasis on breaking those trends and bringing in modernity. In respect of these requirement, the report comprises three main sections. Section 1 describes about Cambodia's current policies in education including influences on policy, emerging trends in contemporary policy, etc; section 2 focuses on the legacy of the past in influencing the contemporary educational environment; and section 3 describes about Cambodia's prospects for modernity in and through education.
